REHABILITATIVE CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Your chiropractic care begins with an
initial examination
by Dr. June Gentle, after which x-rays
may be recommended to determine the seriousness of your condition. In addition to being
adjusted, you may be given exercises, diet suggestions and ways to improve your posture.
Beyond the initial examination, your care may extend through three phases:
-
Acute Care. The objective of this phase is to provide pain relief by
mitigating the discomfort and stabilizing the condition in the shortest amount of time.
Corrective spinal adjustments alleviate pain and improve your chances of a full,
uncomplicated recovery.
-
Rehabilitative Care.
This phase of treatment aims at correcting any underlying
spinal injury as well as strengthen the muscles, improve spinal function and provide
more complete or optimum healing of tissues and organ systems.
-
Preventive Care.
This phase of care is intended to maintain your improved
health and spinal function. Regular attention catches small problems before they
become serious. Come in for your once a month tune-up. Prevention saves time
and money by helping you stay well adjusted, flexible and free from
subluxations ( the term used
to describe when your bones go out of alignment).

Automobile Injuries
Auto injuries may include whiplash as well as impact injury.
Statistics show that about 50% of all auto accident victims sustain lower back injuries, and that
15% of those develop serious nerve damage.
Car wrecks can cause significant damage to the human body, and chiropractic care is often an
appropriate method of managing and resolving injuries from car accidents.
Job-Related Injuries
Work injuries may result from repetitive trauma, bending or lifting, and include
carpal tunnel syndrome.
They may be specific or cumulative: A specific injury occurs as the result of a single
incident or exposure; for example, sustaining a back injury while lifting a box. A
cumulative injury results from repetitive trauma over a period of time; for example,
an employee who develops carpal tunnel syndrome after a period of repetitive keyboarding.
If you believe you have suffered a work-related injury, we recommend you notify your employer
